Who owes what after badminton? Snap the receipt, let the LLM itemise it, and share the split.
Why I built it
What started as the fun of playing badminton soon became a pain: sharing who owes what — primarily due to fatigue and partly, laziness. “We’ll sort the bill later”… and later became a week, until it became weak.
For an Engineering Manager who had stopped writing code years ago, this was my chance.
I asked, “Can I still code?”
Claude Code answered, “Let’s see if we vibe.”
And so we did. Built the fix. SplitReceipt.
How it works
Add your partners in crime — and pick the currency.
Click a pic of the receipt and let the LLM analyse your bill and build item-chips.
Assign it to the people. The shared stuff — court booking, that round of schnapps — goes in a common pool and is split equally.
Share. WhatsApp, Telegram, SMS or copy — one message for the group, or each person's itemised total.
All in a snap (pun intended 😉).
Status
It’s early. It’s rough. The point was never novelty — it was convenience, and all the more, learning for me.
